Description

Davenport University was established in 1866 and is one of the oldest educational institutes in the United States. Davenport University provides career-oriented education to high school graduates and working adults alike. It consists of campuses in its main campus at Grand Rapids, Michigan, and in many locations in Michigan and Northern Indiana.

Davenport University has a number of Paralegal Studies programs on offer, through an Associate’s Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate. All the programs are approved by the American Bar Association. The Associate of Science Degree is designed to prepare students to work in law firms or other law related organizations. The course covers theoretical as well as practical aspects. Students learn how to communicate effectively, learn litigation procedures and computerized legal research. It effectively trains students to become paralegals.

The Bachelor of Science Degree is a follow-up to the Associate degree. It provides students the opportunity to study Paralegal Studies in more detail. They can get more in-depth knowledge of what they learned in the Associate degree program. It forms the perfect base for their future careers as paralegals.

The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is for students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree and want to continue with further studies in the paralegal program. It provides them with the skills required to make an effective paralegal such as excellent communication, analytical thought process and effective computer application in legal research.
