Description

Faulkner University is a Christian University that offers certificate, associate's, bachelor's, master's, juris doctor degrees and doctorate's degree programs. Accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, it is affiliated with the nondenominational churches of Christ. It operates from its main campus in Montgomery as well as from three other centers, in Mobile, Birmingham, and Huntsville. It was established in 1942 as the Montgomery Bible School. The Alabama Christian College of Arts and Sciences, Harris College of Business, Jones School of Law, and the V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies are four of its schools.

It offers an Associate of Science in Legal Studies as well as a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies program. The programs are ABA approved and are designed to help students who are new to the field gain the necessary knowledge and skill sets applicable in the State of Alabama as well as to ensure that those who are working as Paralegals get qualified.

The students are trained in Legal ethics, their professional responsibilities and duties. The curriculum is monitored and updated on a regular basis based on the recommendations of the Faulkner University Legal Studies Advisory Committee.

Students transferring from a non-ABA approved college may ask for transfer credit for a maximum of two legal specialty courses only whereas those transferring from an ABA approved institution may ask for a maximum of four legal specialty courses.

Paralegals are hired by government agencies, private law firms, insurance firms, real estate and title companies, legal departments etc.
