Description

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is a two-year technical college that was established in 1967, and operates from three campuses at Green Bay, Marinette, and Sturgeon Bay. A member of the Wisconsin Technical College System, it is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers Programs in Paralegal studies that are accredited by the American Bar Association and offers traditional classroom based education as well as distance mode of education.

It offers an Associate's Degree as well as a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Studies. The Associate's degree program is offered at the Green Bay campus and online students are recommended to take a minimum of 4 legal specialty courses in a "real-time" format. Classes are offered in the day as well as in the evenings and students may opt for full-time or part-time programs. The curriculum includes require Legal specialty courses such as Civil Litigation 1, Civil Litigation 2, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Legal Aspects/Business Org., Paralegal Intro/Legal Ethics, English Composition 1, Oral/Interpersonal Comm., Intro to College Math, Critical Thinking-Philosophy, Accounting-for Non-Accountants, Civil Litigation 1, Legal Research, Real Estate Law or Legal Computer Applications, Civil Litigation 2, Law-Family or Legal Aspects/Business Org, Administration of Estates or Psychology Of Human Relations, Intro to Psychology Elective, Legal Writing, Paralegal Internship, Paralegal Field Study, Law-Employment or Intro to Ethics: Theory & App., Race Ethnic & Diversity, and Economics.

The Post Baccalaureate programs offers courses such as Civil Litigation 1, Civil Litigation 2, Administration of Estates, Administrative Law, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Law-Family, Legal Aspects/Business Org., Real Estate Law, Creditor/Debtor Relations, Law-Employment, Paralegal Criminal Procedures, and Indian Law among others.
